Egg Harbor Cafe

Stopped in after dropping a phone off for repair to have breakfast while we waited. Went here as they offered gluten free items. Had a full gluten free menu and catered to vegan requests/substitutions as well. Food and service was outstanding. Definitely closer options than this from our home, but would drive the extra distance without question. Highly recommend!

10 years ago we lived in St. Charles, IL and usually went to the Egg Harbor Cafe Geneva once a month. Now we have visited the USA again and went to the Egg Harbor Cafe. Our boys (14 & 15 now) really wanted a hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles, like we used to have back then. Our waiter Steven thought it was funny and just said that it was too hot for hot chocolate. We told him our story and then he took our order. Then his colleague brought us two special hot chocolates (see photo) and our boys were very happy. When we wanted to pay, we were told that the bill would go on the store manager Alex. When we thanked her, she just said that those are the stories that make Egg Harbor special. Many thanks again to Steven, Alex & Egg Harbor Cafe Geneva. We will definitely be back.

We came in yesterday and ordered breakfast. We normally have excellent service and food at this location. We come almost every Saturday. I always order the San Antonio skillet. We also ordered the chillaquilles yesterday. The food was horrible. The chorizo was hotter than we had ever experienced and it was oily. We couldn’t finish our plates. Our server was also horrible. She showed up one time to take our order and then the next time she returned was with the check. No refills. No seeing if we needed anything. When she came back with the check we explained we couldn’t finish the food because it was too hot and was not good (absolutely not like the other weeks) and she said “oh really?” While laughing. No apologies. No offering a solution. Just walked away. We left very disappointed. Also

For me this has to be one of the best egg harbors. All though it’s the same food it’s still good and the atmosphere too. Also when you’re done eating you can look at the other businesses around. In the summer there is a small pound which is cool.

Great food. We stop here whenever the whole family is in town. The jam is great and makes for good gifts. They're generous with drinks, and the coffee is also great. I like their benedicts a lot!
