I can't believe I didn't know about this place. The deok here is so much better than the ones sold at the supermarket further down the road. The owner was super nice, giving me a sample of freshly made one. If you like Korean rice cakes, you have to come here.

This family-owned shop makes a wide variety of authentic rice cakes, all sweetened and flavored naturally with traditional ingredients—red beans, roasted soybean powder, nuts, dried fruit, sesame, pumpkin, chestnuts, and other wholesome ingredients. The sweetness is light and clean, so it works for both people with a sweet tooth and those who prefer milder treats. They offer so many textures, toppings, shapes, and designs that it’s honestly a joy just to look at everything they make. If you’re used to the boxed, not-so-fresh rice cakes from H-Mart, you need to try this place—it’s cheaper, way fresher, and truly on a different level. They also do catering!

My family visits here every week. If you have never had Korean style rice cakes but like food made of sticky rice like me, check it out and don’t miss out! The owner/chef is very friendly and he has a wide variety of rice cakes here. My favorites are the firm white rice plain style and the soft black rice style with soybean powder.

I have always wanted to try an authentic Korean rice cake and the owner of this place made me exactly what I wanted and let me try so many kinds! He is so nice, and the rice cakes are delicious. I can't wait to come back :)
