Catfish came with fries slice of onion and small coleslaw, pickles and hush puppies. I would call it a large portion. 😀

We were heading to Callaway Gardens to pick up some Vintage jewelry (I’ll talk about that later), when I discovered that the Oyster House — the seafood spot I was counting on — was permanently closed according to Yelp. I was devastated. Like… fully prepared to cancel Pine Mountain altogether. I was having a whole moment. 😩 Then I did a little digging and found out that Eddie Mae’s Kountry Kitchen & Oyster Bar had the same owner. I found this out before we arrived, and I knew immediately — we HAD to stop there. And let me tell you… January 3, 2026 — this is all I needed in my life. This is GOOD seafood. We visited on a morning in December. The coffee was brewed fresh and served piping hot. We got the breakfast buffet, and our options included eggs (good, just a little watery), sausage links and patties (yum), tater tots (seasoned well, but overcooked), grits (good and southern), corned beef hash (simple and warm), and French toast sticks. We sampled nearly everything! Overall, the food was good, so we left satisfied and warmed up. The servers were busy, but they were hospitable and kind. We would return and eat here again.

Food was great. Taste of south with southern hospitality. Atmosphere was great as well.

Food was outstanding!! A pleasant find for excellent, reasonably priced seafood!
