Customer Reviews
For American Chinese food - this place is in the mix for best in the city, and not just carry out. Fresh, hot, complex flavors, classics nowhere else does (proper crispy beef. Fast turnaround when you order in. Plus the wings, fried rice and mumbo sauce classic slaps.
The 5 stars is primarily because they actually called me to verify that I wanted a half smoke plain on my online order (I know, boring, but that's what the craving gods demanded). Started coming here because it was convenient, kept coming because all of the food we've tried is above average for Chinese American carryout, and they're always so fast. I have issues with oily food on my stomach and never had a problem here, even when I get crispy chicken, which is so good it's worth the risk of tummy rumbles. I've never had to remind them about a drink, and order has always been right. Maybe not 5* in the sense everything you eat will blow your mind and you'll have the best service of your life, but 5* in the sense it's everything I want from a carryout.
In a world where binary 1 and 5 star reviews are handed out with no regard for the granularity of a five star system, Eddie's stand proudly as the embodiment of a three star establishment. Do my taste buds rejoice in divine joy at each bite? No. Are my hard earned pennies being gouged from my wallet? Definitely not. You get preciously what you pay for, a mountain of flavored American Chinese food served with a pile of rice. The quantity far out paces quality in the best way possible. Come here if you need to fill your belly and save a dime. You can't recreate this at home.
Great pork loin mein. General Tso's Chicken is really good, but it could use a bit more spice. Generous portions. The food was neatly packaged for delivery (via Grub Hub).
Ordered the broccoli beef meal for carry out. Unfortunately the beef was an unpleasant consistency, the sauce was thin and had very little flavor, and the fried rice was flavorless as well. :/
