Eating Fresh

Oh my gosh the Japanese pork belly was amazing for the grill. The Korean short ribs were also incredible. That said, they didn't provide any times or guesstimates for how long to cook the meats, which were extremely thick compared to other DIY Grill places. So if you're not familiar with grilling thicker cuts of meat, you might have a hard time balancing food and conversations. We wanted to do hot pot but they told us it would take 35+ minutes. It doesn't say this in the menu so it feels a bit strange so we had to skip it. They did have a soup of the day, which was like a mini pho, sans noodles. Really tasty! We went in around 2pm, I don't know if they just opened it what that day but it took us awhile to be seated despite only 3 other parties being in there. Our waitress was kind but it

The 6 course dining experience was fun, But it was a busy night, so a lot of the selection was already sold out. The chef did a good job of trying to manage the amount of orders and keeping everything fresh but he really needed more help in the kitchen. The service staff was great and attentive. The buffet of dim sum and other small plate appetizers was very tasty. I would definitely go back and try the regular menu.

Yesterday I went to try the Devour menu since it looked like one of the best menus. As soon as I walked in, the chef seemed pretty stressed, which is understandable given that they were also running the lunch Devour menu that day. I was patient and waited while more food was being prepared. Since it was a course-based setup, I was hoping to try everything, but unfortunately didn’t get the chance because the kitchen was behind. After being there for about two hours, they were still preparing food, which lines up with one of the reviews below mine. Overall, the food I did have was phenomenal, and the servers were very nice. I just wish I had been able to experience the rest of the menu for the price paid. It felt like the chef may have taken on too much with this menu — hopefully next year

I am Vietnamese and I must say, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. The flavor is authentic and top notch. Their pate and grilled pork are delicious! All ingredients including veggies and side dishes are FRESH! Most importantly, the sauce—the heart and soul of Vietnamese cuisine, is unbeatable. Overall, if anyone asks me where to try Viet food in Indy, Eating Fresh will make top of the list

Pho broth and noodles were good. Meat was a bit too thick for the pho tai. I prefer it the standard thin sliced way so it’s easier to eat. Bathroom can use some cleaning. The dining space was nice.
