Eastvale Library

I’ve been going to the Eastvale Public Library since 2013 and it’s been a joy to be able to continuously come back to it over the years and see how it’s changed and evolved. The staff has been great and wonderful to chat with. They are helpful and kind and considerate. It’s always a delight to come to relax, read, hang out. The services they have are great and it’s a great resource to use. So grateful to have this place in Eastvale.

This library had one of the rudest workers I’ve ever encountered that’s why I never went back. The one that worked at the front desk that wore glasses always had a nasty attitude. Yelling at someone like you’re their parent is comical. I understand I look young, but I was about the same age as the worker. She was always rude and unwelcoming to me when I would be tutoring kids there. There’s a way to specify rules without talking to someone crazy. At least I never went off on that lady.

Great for kids! They have reading programs, rewards, and family movie nights. Unfortunately, because it's a High School library shared with the city, American Law or Language books for instance, can only be used in the library for reference and not be checked out to go home.

Why not open at 10:00am? It’s too late to open at 15:30.

This is the closest library to me and I hate to give it such a low ranking, but there are a few caveats that keep me from coming here. 1) Hours of operation: They only open to the public after school hours (3pm). This is the biggest disappointment because my whole morning is wasted if I wait until 3pm. 2) Noise: The library also serves the high school library, so expect the noise of chatty high school kids waiting for their rides after school. 3) Location: If coming here at 3, you might be faced with issues of traffic from parents picking up kids, not only at the HS, but the adjacent schools that get around the same time.
