Eastside Fish Fry & Grill

It's been a WHILE since I've visited, but nothing has changed! I love their dockside atmosphere, friendly employees, and most of all the food. They have my favorite hush puppies, even better than those I've had in the Keys. John helped me with my order and that dude was very helpful. Keep doing your thang Eastside Fish Fry!

I am visiting Michigan and did a drive from Detroit to Grand Rapids. I did a Google search for lunch spots along my way and Eastside Fish Fry and Grill was one of my selections. This place has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. So, why not give it a try. I am so happy I did!!! This place is a "dive" and you may want to keep driving, but don't. All Staff that I encountered were pleasant and welcoming. They stayed busy while I was there. Seating is limited, but a lot of customers take their order to go. Now, let's get to the food. I ordered the fried catfish with fried macaroni and cheese bites and fried Oreos. The very first bite of the fish received an "Oh My God!" It was sooo good!! The macaroni and cheese bites were good, but filling. I wanted to definitely finish my fish. So

First time to the Eastside Fish Fry and Grill. We came here after seeing a lot of good reviews on Google about it. Girlfriend was interested in trying the Gator sandwich. It was definitely worth the trip. Christina was very helpful with assisting us with our order. When ended up ordering the Gator Sandwich, Fried Mushrooms, crab cakes, Jalapeno poppers and a Cod loin Sandwich dinner. Throughout the experience, the staff were very friendly and the place was mostly quiet. As stated by other reviewers, there was plenty of parking space. The place was clean and the meals were wonderful. I highly recommend this place to any outliers who are on the fence as whether to come here or not. Come, it will definitely be worth your time. First time here! I ordered the large bluegill & hushpuppies. Waited about 20 minutes ,which I don't mind for hot food! Super delicious and flavorful! The hushpuppies are the best in a restaurant, flavor bomb with a touch of spice. Yummy! Highly recommend! They have a big variety menu to choose from.
