Eagles Nest Food & Spirits

Typical little bar half-full of locals. Stopped for the night in town after driving from Phoenix. A quick stroll from the motel this place was the only thing open. Food was typical pub-grub, chill bar vibe. Everyone was super friendly, even the patrons made friends with me over a ball game and a pint. Will stop on my next trip.

Why five stars? It was really slow. We had the dinning room to ourselves the bar had a few patrons. Our server was smart fast and attentive. The meal was a burger and turkey sandwich. They were as good as can be. Highly recommend this place for authentic charm and a reasonably priced meals.

The bartender was good at her job but- They didn’t have miller, budweiser, coors light, ingredients for white russians, or even Coca Cola for a jack and coke. And no appetizers???? Food was very bland as well.

Great stop for lunch. Kinda felt like and under ground bar- lightly was very dim. Walked in, sat at the bar and was greeted right away (not busy at all). Bartender quickly brought us drink and took our order. Cheeseburger with crinkle fries and fry sauce. Cran Nutty sandwich with waffle fries (fried to perfecting) & blue cheese dipping sauce.

Refreshing for weary travelers, not too heavy a meal when you order a deli, grilled or toasted sandwich with soup or salad. The various burgers were tempting but I don't regret for a second getting the grilled ham & cheese & my bride enjoyed the BLT. I might be back tomorrow for that Bunkhouse burger with eggs & bacon . . . The back of the menu has ribeye or Halibut steak choices that were equally tempting. Think about over-tipping because it isn't a bustling place. DOUG out
