We had lunch at Duval’s Fresh. Local Seafood, and the entire experience was excellent. I ordered the grilled grouper with a wedge salad, which was fresh and perfectly prepared. Another person in our party had the oyster po’ boy, and it was just as good. Our server, Chad, truly made the meal special. He recommended a great wine pairing and topped it off with an amazing dessert—bread pudding—which was the perfect way to finish the meal. Chad was a pleasure to meet and provided outstanding service from start to finish. From the fresh food to the attentive, friendly service, everything was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would absolutely recommend Duval’s to anyone in the area

Visited Duvals for the first time and wow, i see why its rated one of the top places in Downtown Sarasota. As a lifetime local its interesting to have so many food choices in beautiful downtown! We arrived after 9pm and there was easy walkup/walk in table options, so we missed the rush. Advanced reservations are recommended. Eat inside if you want to avoid the street cars blairing music cruising through the street, especially after sunset.

I’m visiting Sarasota for the first time on a work trip and decided to take a walk around the area. I started heading to a sushi spot, but right next to it I noticed Duval with signs saying “#1” and “Best Seafood,” so I decided to give it a try instead. As soon as I walked in, the host was so friendly and welcoming and seated me outside. My server Jennifer was the absolute sweetest. She made great recommendations and treated me like a regular even though it was my first visit. The food was beyond delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Sarasota.

The candied bacon old fashioned’s are the bomb! Highly recommend trying one if you are a bourbon fan. We went during the week so it was easy to get a bar seat. The weekend can be a challenge at night. The bar tender was very attentive and the food was great. We went back again for lobster bisque and a grouper sandwich. The food here is consistently good. Friendly staff with good atmosphere and great vibe. Parking can be wonky but we’ve never had to walk too far to get here and lots of cool places to window shop along the way.

Stopped here because I was craving seafood. I did not have reservations so we had to eat outside. (Not a big deal but on certain days this could be a deal breaker). I started with a drink reccomended by waitress and then they ended up coming back and saying they where out of coconut puree. So I changed to a blujito. It was good but very very very minty. For appetizers I ordered the muscles and they were good. I probably would not order them again. For entree i got the Grouper which i had never had and I thought it was really good! The wife did the fish and chips and the fish/breading was cooked amazing but... it had no flavor. So bland. If you didnt get starter sauce there would have been no flavor. Overall it was good food but I would not go out of my way to eat here. If you are
