Dutch Maid Bakery

I was so excited to receive my gobs however when I opened the box they were all smashed into pancakes. I was so disappointed especially after paying for 2 dozen. I’m eating them but the experience is not the same. I planned on giving some as gifts to friends who never experienced a Gob.

When my husband was about 4 years old in 1971, his Great Grandma Ensley turned him on to his first Gob. We have made, until this year, at least one trip annually to Johnstown and went Gob hunting. This year, we ordered them online. They came less than a week later, packed neatly, were FRESH, too! Thank you, Yost Bakery for making an awesome Birthday present for my husband!

I’ve been getting their cakes for as long as I can remember & they are by far the best cake ever!! I recommend them to anyone & eveyone. But to get a cake now you gotta do it a certain way & it had my old co-workers calling it my “crack” cake bc getting it was like doing a drug deal…you can only order between this time & this time, you can only get this size or that size. Pay in cash only, pick it up at a certain time & you have to go to a back door. Lol but my “crack” cake is worth it!!!

I've been eating gobs since I was very young. I moved away in the 80's but my family always made sure they bought them for me when I came in for the holidays. Then they started to get hard to find. I was panicking lol! Now, I can order them by the case and freeze them. Thank you Dutch Maid. You're keeping my childhood alive. ❤️

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Not too far from Johnstown after leaving for the Marine Corps And moving to Missouri I missed these gobd so much. My recent order got lost by the postal service and their customer service was also tracking it and reached out to me via email and sent me out two dozen fresh gobs. I have never had such good customer service from a company in my life. Thank you guys so much for all your help, great products, and you're caring staff.
