First, the water costs for Dupage County residents have gone only up consistently and with just two senior citizens in our household, we are still paying anywhere between $185 upwards of $270 per month because of the excessive water cost. I am a very handy former underground plumbing expert and know all home plumbing and have no water leaks. Second, I have never skipped/ missed paying a water bill in the 18 years that I have lived at my current house. If you merely just forget to pay your bill right on the dot when it’s due, Dupage County slaps approximately a nine dollar plus late fee on your bill and then has the audacity to charge you an extra couple dollars and some change when you pay by credit card.
