A couple years ago when I first went to Dunn library I would have given it 1 star. I have children and did not feel welcome there at all and actually didn't return until this summer. After trying it again this summer I saw a huge change from the last time I was there. I feel the Dunn Library is great for families and children in our community! The library's dedication to fostering a love for reading and learning among kids is truly commendable. Their extensive kids programming offers a wide variety of activities and resources that cater to different age groups and interests. From engaging storytime sessions with Miss Georgia, to creative arts and crafts workshops, Dunn Library ensures that children have access to enriching experiences that stimulate their imagination and intellectual gro
This is the very best little gem in Dunn. My daughter adores reading and we can spend hours in this place!! The staff are so very kind and patient with her and they'll suggest books for her and even order things she might like. If you're a reader you should really check it out.
Before Director Kim's arrival we avoided this library as a family because the community doesn't like children to be heard. It's apparent when you receive glares from older patrons if you bring a child in. But thanks to her efforts this summer has brought so many families to the Dunn branch and she and her wonderful staff should be commended. They have put countless hours into programs that allow young minds to explore and learn in the way that all children learn best. Through active actions, colorful crafts, and excited demonstrations they have become our new home for learning in Harnett County. I'm a mom of a teen who "lives" for the monthly D&D meetings and a 5 yo who has autism and often is excluded because he cannot be quiet or still. But he has a love of books and wants to learn to re
great little library and they don't mind my obnoxious toddler. They just let me close the kiddie room door
BE QUIET!!!! This Is a library!!! Whatever happened to silence in the library!!! Ridiculous!!! Again I visited this place (9/16/2024) and STILL it is noisy....this time music was being played by an employee, then a loud conversation ensued!!! I have to go all the way to Lillington in order to get some library silence hoping there are no small children running around screaming!!! This is ridiculous!!!
