Dumpling Bites

Me and my mom were deciding were to go for dinner and she chose here, which I agreed to and have been waiting to make a visit here. Also this spot has been recommended to me by some close ones of mine and finally I got the chance to give this place a shot. Upon arrival, it was during the dinner rush, but the place was not completely filled yet and we were seated almost immediately. They offer many different styles of dumplings, traditional Chinese dishes, soups, noodle soups, wok fried items, specialty dishes, stir-fried noodles, fried rice, rice plates, housemade drinks, desserts and many more to choose from. Everything is made to order here which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. The service here is great

We came here for dinner on a Thursday night and there was no wait time. Staff were nice and friendly. The xiao long baos were very juicy and the noodles have great flavor. Highly recommend this spot.

I saw some good reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. Honestly these are the best soup dumplings I’ve had in years. The skin is thin, the soup inside is super generous, and it beats a lot of other spots I’ve been to. Tip for anyone new to XLB: eat them right away. If you let them cool down they lose the magic, so always eat the soup dumplings first. I also tried a few other dishes and the string beans here are outstanding. The preserved vegetables give them a little extra kick you don’t usually find and they are stir fried perfectly. The rice cakes are chewy with great texture and the squab was juicy and flavorful. This place is a gem and I’ll definitely be back soon.

What a great find! We had Ma Bo Tofu and Veg steamed dumplings, both were excellent. It was crowded with locals so you know it’s good. We highly recommend.

UPDATE 8/19/25: I feel the need to speak up because I can't stand it when people leave negative reviews for something that affects most, if not all, restaurant businesses out there. Yes, they were recently closed for a short time from an inspection finding but the fact that they were able to pass re-inspection and reopened so quickly means the issue was minor and addressed promptly. This is a small family-owned restaurant that puts so much love into their food. Their Xiao Long Bao is some of the best you’ll find in San Francisco — fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. I have had the pleasure of chatting with the owner and XLB masterchef there, and they both genuinely cared about my feedback and want to keep improving to better suit the wants of the diners there.
