Duke's Public House

Had a wonderful brunch here today! We both ordered the lobster eggs Benedict which we both thought was the delicious. The breakfast potatoes on the side were so crunch and delicious. We also shared the Korean BBQ wings which we thought were the best wings in the area! We have always had a good meal when we go to Duke’s.

Let me start by saying that this experience was hands-down among the worst in over 40 years. I was staying in the hotel that was attached to this "restaurant" and had a $10 off coupon, which was enough to encourage me to try it out. Boy was that a mistake. The staff was clearly overwhelmed by the 15 customers that were dining there that evening and unable to juggle the bar-top and eat-in customers. I ordered a burger and fries and the wait began. Ultimately, I waited for over 1 hour and 10 minutes for the meal to come, and it never did. I was near the entrance to the kitchen and the woman who took my order had to pass me every time she walked by, so it was very clear that I was still waiting. Not one time in that 1+ hour of waiting was a "hey, we're still working on your order." or "I'll

We were taking a trip to Burlington on Valentine’s Day to do an escape room double date with another couple we are friends with. We were looking at food options a week before the trip and decided on Dukes after we looked at the menu. I’m very picky with food and my wife’s friend has a gluten allergy so we booked a reservation after seeing that the menu had many options for myself and gluten free items for my wife’s friend. When we got there and were seated we were handed a limited Valentines menu with only 4 options. Very expensive ones at that. 110$ for one entree. Three of us had a delicious breakfast here. Service was prompt and friendly. Love the decor... very clean! 💜 We ended up going back for dinner... It was phenomenal. Terrie our server was perfection, awealth of information and offered great menu suggestions as well as local offerings. We met Nick, the manager, and had a lovely talk with him about the restaurant and craft cocktails. Chef Steve's food is outstanding! The layering of flavors are a treat. Beautiful plate presentation!
