Duanesburg Diner & Restaurant

A classic small town old diner with daily homemade specials that will remind you of your parents or grandparents old recipes. In business for almost 90 years and still going strong! This is becoming a favorite stop on my way through the area. The stuffed pepper I had today was huge! Cut in half and took up the whole plate! Don’t forget to try a piece of their homemade blueberry pie!

If you're into a classic greasy spoon you'll like this place. My experience was great. The chicken noodle soup was homemade and the burger was hand pounded. The cake was very good too. Quiet county locals in there enjoying their regular meals. I liked it a lot.

If you like an old time family diner, this is the place for you. This is the kind of place after walking in there. Sitting down and eating your meal while listening to Christmas music. Takes you back to your childhood. It's one of those places that you wish you could own and run it.The same way that it's being run today. Super nice people, and good diner grub. We can't wait to go back

Reasonable local Diner. ‘Hobo chowder’ was a tomato based ground beef & veg soup, not so much a chowder. Seasoned well. Reuben was nice and hot all the way through. Plenty of Russian dressing and sauerkraut, not dry. Bonus, Swiss was on the bread keeping it from becoming soggy. Potato salad, with egg… pretty bland.

Duanesburg Diner is a special roadside relic filled with nostalgia of the past. I have been going here for years while on my travels along Route 20 with my grandparents and parents. I had not been to the Duanesburg Diner since about 2018. Everything was just as I remember it, and it seemed as if nothing had changed. The pastrami sandwich was hot and delicious with crispy sliced pastrami piled on soft white bread with a side of macaroni salad and a pickle. Everyone in my family was extremely pleased with their meals. Here it just tastes of the past, in an extremely good way. The wairtstaff was friendly and pleasant as always! Thank you Duanesburg Diner.
