D's Italian Restaurant

After seeing all the Facebook posts we decided to take the 35 minute drive from Leland to try this restaurant!!! It was worth every minute. Some of the best Italian food and pizza I have had since moving to NC. And the service was great.

Most pizza around here is for transients, and not much good. I've ordered pizza several times from D's and it's always been great. Ordered carryout on this busy Friday night, they said 20 minutes and it was waiting for me ready to go when I got there. Small supreme was loaded with toppings, baked perfect. Wife got D's Italiano on gluten free pasta, also excellent. A bit spendy, but if you want a good pizza or Italian, go here. Most other pizza joints around here're not much better than the cheapest ones in the store freezer section.

Much better Pizza than you’d expect at the beach. Mozzarella sticks were very good. Very friendly staff who threw in an order of Garlic Knots just to be nice. We will be back.

Great place for good Italian. The ONLY change I would make involves one of my my calzone toppings: instead of using "fine ground" sausage, chunk or sliced sausage would be much better with texture and taste. The ground up sausage gets "lost" in the ingredients and I would've chosen another option if I had known. Everything else was excellent.
