Driftaway Cafe

This restaurant has a lot of good things going for it. Firstly, the food is delicious. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the salmon salad and both were delicious. Secondly, it is very dog friendly. There is a covered area that is very comfortable that allows dogs and they were kind enough to bring our dog some water. That is always a plus. Thirdly, it is quite near Skidaway Island State Park where we were staying, so it was very convenient for us. Lastly, our server did a fantastic job taking care of us.

I went to Driftaway with a few of my coworkers to eat and hangout. The service that we received walking in to sitting down at our table was amazing. I’m not sure of the man’s name at the door, but he ensured that me and my coworkers were accommodated with our large group. I wasn’t too crazy about the menu so I ordered their calamari and some fries. The food was ok in my opinion. The calamari was crunchy more than anything so I couldn’t really enjoy its texture. I did try a few of the other appetizers and food that my coworker’s had and it wasn’t bad. I enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and their blue chips along with their breaded fried fish.

Absolutely delicious! We had the crab dip appetizer & the Blueberry Salmon 🤤 it was phenomenal! We will definitely be back! 2nd visit 12/17. Food was absolutely phenomenal and so was the service! Still HIGHLY recommend!!

This place is a gem! Best food we had on our Savannah trip. Very creative owner with all the amazing decor. We even had a cat sit with us on the back deck! Oh, and we saw a loggerhead at the base of their outdoor fountain!

This is a very popular restaurant. The food was fantastic. We had a party of six, and three of us had the blueberry salmon that was to die for. Another had the mahi-mahi, which was very tasty, and the last person had a burger, that she said was delicious. We sat outside, which was nice and gave us plenty of room for our party. The wait staff were very helpful and informative in explaining the different choices on the menu. Parking can be tight and you may need to park on the roadside. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
