Be sure to call ahead: currently understaffed and need to book to ensure ability to fit you in! Owner mentioned they're hiring 7-10 more people soon to fix this. This place is beautiful and has a great German atmosphere. The owners and the chef are so welcoming and you can tell they really care about the business. There is even a gift shop at the entrance with some cool knick-knacks. The food is an incredible price and insanely delicious. The portions are huge, honestly like pre-COVID levels. You’re getting at least 35 dollars worth of food for 18 bucks. They also give you these complimentary pretzel rolls that were delicious. The imported Weissbier is incredibly cheap too, so just coming here for some beers would be a great idea. Keep in mind that the wait for food was quite long, ab

If you want authentic German fare, this is the spot for you. Great food! All homemade! I miss schnitzel from my time living in Germany. The owner goes from table to table, very personable and chit chatty. The only server is a bit of a mess but endearing. The cook is the owner's son. It is a dying breed of restaurant, family run. Go while you have a chance!!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE! TERRIBLE FOOD AND ROACHES! Absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had and the food was inedible. I really wish I could give this place an amazing review since its a local restaurant but I cant. We originally made a reservation for 5 people but called back to add 6 more. The, I assume, owner asked if we could come in later so they can accommodate and bring in more people to serve us. They was absolutely fine with us, we understand 11 people can be overwhelming. Walking in your immediately hit with the smell of urine and dust. There was not enough menus for our party and looks like one of the tables was made into the owners desk with everything he needs including a heating pad. Our waiter was nice enough but hit his vape (e-cigarette) while speaking with us and c

Love this place! I had visited Bavaria last year and had been hungry for a good schnitzel ever since. We decided to check this out on a Sunday afternoon. They had real German beer from Paulaner and Bitburger! We had a chance to chat with the owner while enjoying our drinks. We got to hear all about the history of the building back to 1875 when it was a pub and general store. Allegedly John Dillinger and his crew stopped here for some drinks during their heyday. The original 1875 bar had been well restored and kept. Even the original Mercury mirrors are in place. Every wall has something interesting to see. Paintings of German hillside, steins from around the globe, even a couple suits of armor! To be honest, it feels more like you're eating at someone's home instead of a restaurant. The

I'm not into German food, but I went with my parents. Cool location in the middle of nowhere, historical building with interesting stuff to look at. Service was friendly, but possibly short staffed. Seemed to take a while. Though not big on German food, the food was good for German and the place is worth a visit. In a world of chain restaurants, it's nice to do something different occasionally.
