So I’ve been wanting to try this place and support this black owned business. I finally tried it……Upon walk in, they were nice and it looked clean. My food was ready on time. So the Mac and cheese had a very odd after taste and dry to me. I would rate it a 1 out of 5. The cabbage had no true flavor just a buttery taste. 1 out of 5 if I had to rate. The collards were ok but very salty and no true flavor. There was some meat in it but it was no smoked flavor …not much at all just salt. Rate 2 out of 5 honestly. Shrimp grits were nothing to rave about. No creaminess just dry grits….maybe a sauce was missing for them ??? 2 out of 5. Potato salad was ok though (3 out of 5). Fried fish was salty so salty that adding hot sauce will give you a headache. They forgot to give me tartar sauce. I feel

So, so, SO good! 🤤 We ordered pick up and ate in the car in the parking lot because of a 30-minute drive home. I had the shrimp and grits, which I highly recommend! The shrimp was plentiful and flavorful. The grits were firm, but a cream sauce was included which smoothed it out. The honey cornbread was also amazing, and the collard greens were tasty! We also had the chicken and waffles, turkey gumbo, bacon cheeseburger, fries, and green beans. Everyone was satisfied! We’ll certainly go again! One negative is that our order was missing a few items, so my husband had to go inside twice to get the fries and condiments that were supposed to be included on the burger. I also wanted to order cheesecake, but it was out of stock at 6pm on a Saturday night. 😢

The food is amazingly fresh, made to order, and priced well. The staff are so genuine and are very knowledgeable of the menu. They've provided us with service and care throughout our meal. We favor the Blackened chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries as well as the Salmon and grits. I still want to know what's in those grits? They are fire, you hear me. The catfish is always hot and big fat filets. They dont skimp on the food and besides you can just take it home. This review is making me hungry.

⭐️ 3.5 / 5 – Black-Owned Comfort Spot Worth a Second Try I love me some good southern and Creole comfort food, but most spots are usually in Maryland. So when I found this Black-owned gem right here in Woodbridge, I had to try it! You know I’m always going to give the real tea on a restaurant. Beautiful artwork on the walls with neosoul music playing. The server was extremely friendly ans helpful. The collards were a miss for me—slightly sweet, which some may enjoy if you grew up with that touch of sugar to hide the bitterness. I prefer mine more savory. The turkey and collard green gumbo was flavorful but missing that extra kick of seasoning to really set it off. Still a great option for those with shellfish allergies. The cornbread with corn niblets was okay—nothing to make sparks fly.

Me and my mom were passing through and stopped to get some food in a hurry. The food is delicious! Everything is cooked and seasoned perfectly and i can honestly say this is the best red beans and rice i have ever had!!
