Dove's Barbecue

Lets start with the food, had the filet mignon tips with gravy and onions, AMAZING! The potato salad was more like mashed potato salad, AMAZING! The peach cobbler, AMAZING! My wife had the bbq plate and it to was AMAZING!!!!! Only detractor was the music, although I loved it because it was ALL CLASSIC ROCK, not sure the average diner would like it! When in Bladenboro, a MUST!!!!

We found this while driving through NC & this was the best part of my entire road trip. The staff was exceptional & so sweet. The food was BEYONDDDD delicious. The BBQ was juicy and delicious, the corn bread cakes used as bread was the best thing I ever ate. The prices were great, portions huge, delicious drinks and hush puppies. The store was so cute & inviting. I will make any excuse to drive through NC again just to go here no matter how far out of my way.

This is one amazing place to eat! The staff is so friendly and the food delicious. The atmosphere is great for a small town establishment with alot of charm.

Every single dining and take out experience with Dove’s has been amazing! We not only enjoy their food, but we LOVE their family atmosphere. My son is a picky eater and he enjoys eating so many items he wouldn’t usually from Dove’s. The owners and their family have our business always. My husband says their bbq is the best and they truly are generous with all their food as well!! Try a pork chop sandwich…with my allergies I have trouble finding places I can eat but thankfully they are so understanding and accommodating of that as well! Don’t forget to try their sweet tea and a good Arnold Palmer!…peach cobbler comes with the beef tips special.

I love good pork bbq but it must be seasoned while cooking and this is Southeastern North Carolina so we like a vinegar based sauce for our bbq. The bbq definitely wasn't chopped and it wasn't pulled. It kinda looked like it had been run through a meat grinder it was so fine I added salt twice and covered it with Texas Pete and still couldn't eat it. The slaw had a very good taste even though it looked to be only cabbage and mayonnaise the hushpuppies were sweet I wasn't a fan. Two young ladies working were very friendly and kept asking if I needed anything.
