Customer Reviews
Had an excellent breakfast as a hotel guest. Engaging and friendly staff. Ordered the Corned Beef Hash and it was delicious, with well seasoned shredded corned beef and crispy has browns.
Laid back breakfast with a great ala carte menu on weekdays! The food was cooked to order and our drinks refilled in a timely manner. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, breakfast is only available as buffet for $18/ person and includes beverages. The buffet selections consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes or French toast, fresh fruit, muffins, and other pastries. The bread selection to make your own toast was fabulous! The multi-grain bread does not taste like something from a store. We did not get a chance to enjoy dinner at Dover, but the menu looked tasty. The bar is well stocked with a good variety of interesting options.
Bartender personality is either a love/hate. Dry sarcastic humor borderline rude doesn’t work for me but others in our party sound him comical this past weekend. Fondue is a big miss, accoutrements were a bit odd. Croutons and a few vegetables. The fondue was delicious though, as it is a Gouda based sauce. Garlic fries were also a miss - a bit soggy and not a ton of toppings/seasoning. Bar is dark and cozy, several bar stools were wobbly and in need of tightening on the legs. A few tables available for dining as well.
I was at the hotel for an evening conference but am following a diet so I thought I'd be better off ordering from the restaurant than eating what was offered. My meal was pleasant but nothing special. I thought it rather over priced for what it was. My steak was tender but had several areas that were pure gristle and I could not eat. My server was friendly & helpful when asked but less attentive than I would have liked and I had to request my empty water glass be refilled twice.
The staff is very friendly, but the breakfast buffet was expensive and not that good. The eggs and oatmeal were both cold, everything else was fair. for four of us to have coffee and the breakfast bar cost $73... far too much based on the quality.
