Doug's Diner | Boulder

This café has such a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff is warm and welcoming. The coffee is excellent, and the food is outstanding—especially the fresh tomatoes with pesto, which are an absolute must-try! The home fries were cooked perfectly, and the Eggs Benedict with ham was rich and flavorful. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I can’t recommend this spot enough—if I could give it six stars, I absolutely would! A perfect stop for breakfast or brunch.

Great diner, new to us - fresh, hot breakfast quesadilla with guacamole, cream cheese and freshly cut salsa; also “the basic” with a delicious biscuit and some serious bacon slices. Sits right next to 93 for a convenient a beautiful drive back to Denver.

As diners go, Doug's checks most of the boxes. Big open space, straightforward menu, friendly service and somewhat reasonable prices, in a town where everything is way overpriced and limited in availability. Not clear when Boulder became so out of reach but at Doug's, a decent meal at a fair price is still within reach.

Lots of photos of Buffalo and I saw a mural of Buffalo. The food overall was absolutely delicious. I had the crepes and ordered a griddle biscuit. If you have a lot of gravy to eat, the griddle biscuit would be good. But I found it a little dry. Omelets are interesting. Check out the photo. Yummy. The crepes were divine; pancakes were good especially with syrup. Service was great, even though they were very busy Saturday late morning.

We arrived at 1:00pm and chose this place because of the dog patio. The waiter came to us fairly quickly and gave our dogs a treat. Then we ordered our drinks and the waiter stood and chatted for about 15+ minutes. He said the large mimosa $7:50 was a better value than the 0.99 special as the special was “tiny”. When it arrived it was only twice the size as the small one. We saw people arrive 10 and 15 minutes after us. They both received their food and finished it and got their check and left before our food was even delivered. The burgers we ordered were meant to be medium rare but came out well done. This was an hour after we had been seated. We didn’t bother sending them back as it had already been so long and we couldn’t wait any longer. The people at the next table who arrived 30 mi
