nice space, great sound system with pleasant jazz playing, Clarence our server was personable friendly, and informative. Unfortunately the dim sum was disappointing. doughy, small and with short on filling to. pastry propertions. Worst stemed pork buns I've ever had. Instead of chunks of savory pork in a light fluffy steamed bun, we got a rubbery mass of chewy dough with a pale lump of some finely ground gilling. The touted specialty: soup dumpling were tiny chewy with less filling and soup inside then at other dim sum places . The pork & Shhrimp boiled dumplings were ok but again not up to other restaurants quality. Loved my visit to the Dough Zone in Berkeley! The Xiao Long Bao were juicy and flavorful.the Dan Dan noodles were a good spicy kick. Great variety, fair prices and perfect for sharing with friends. Definitely coming back.

I came here with my friends to try out the food and it turned out that both the food and the service were absolutely exceptional!! Kelly was our server and she was so sweet and helpful and made great recommendations. She told us her favorite items on the menu (which happened to be quite a few) which we then tried and absolutely loved it!! Will be coming back as soon as possible.

Most definitely worth the price. We had the pork and crab XLB, the Dan Dan noodles, and the pan-fried beef dumplings. The ambiance and decor added to the experience; dining in is a good time. The portion sizes are what the price calls for. Besides strangely sweet pickled cabbage with the pan-fried dumplings and a bit of what I assume freezer burn on the XLB, I see myself coming back for a quick and relatively-cheap meal one of these days.

Wow, I gotta say this place is legit! They’ve got everything just right, nice open atmosphere, killer food, and good prices. Coming back.
