My favorite korean place in Rochester by far. I have taken all my friends and family to this spot. I routinely crave the seafood pancake and the spicy cold noodles with brisket. The stews are also delicious and very comforting in the winter months. The matcha lattes are the best in town.
I had been meaning to review this place for ages! We walk in and they already know our order and are beyond sweet, incredible people! The quality has never wavered and the service is beyond. This food is incredible! So fresh and so well prepared. You can feel the heart they all put into this place. We crave this food any time we are out of town and it’s always our first stop when we come home! Definitely try the dosiiroc box and any of their teas. Their secret sauce is a must!!
The tteokbokki was soft and spicy, and the beef bulgogi bbq plate was so good, such juicy crispy meat. We shared some of the stuff the bulgogi box came with. The fried chicken box came with boneless pieces of white meat and the “secret sauce” was good—spicy and tangy.
There's no pomp and circumstance here, just a mom and daughter and their team who want to share food that makes them happy - and I love that. I've been getting the spicy pork bulgogi box because the bang for the buck is phenomenal and the pork is just the right amount of spicy for me. Last night was snowing and I thought I wanted kimchi jjigae, but when I got there I realized they had mul nangmyeon on the menu, which in the states is often only served in the summer because it's a cold dish - if it's served at all. I was excited because it's my favorite and ordered that for dine-in and the kimchi jjigae for take out for the next day. When the mul nangmyeon was served the daughter made sure I was familiar with the dish so I wouldn't dose myself with a lethal amount of horseradish sauce 😅
I’m impressed. I’m a huge huge lover of Korean food…. DossiRoc Cafe, does not disappoint. Before the food even arrived, it was nice to see an older Korean woman making all the food…. Always a good sign. Lol. Plus the kitchen looked spotless and the restaurant is extremely clean. Seems like a family owned establishment- which I really appreciate….and you can tell their heart is in it. Service was extremely polite and helpful. The food all tasted like you visited your korean mom’s kitchen. The banchan was quite good, the Mandu guk is comfort in a bowl, bibi naengmyeon was delicious! If you’re looking for good Korean food- this place is doing it right and is absolutely worth a visit. This place has a winning formula! UPDATE: Every time I have visited, the meals are consistently del
