D’oro Pizza & Pasta

Just ordered from D’Oro for the first time. Figured we’d give a new spot a shot and were ultimately disappointed. We ordered a Caprese pizza pie, which on the menu states it has tomato, mozzarella, and basil and it came with spinach on it rather than basil. We called to let them know and the person who answered told us that it was basil, but when we made it extremely clear that it was indeed spinach he then told us “oh no no no that’s how we do it here. Next time you ordered say you want Caprese with basil instead” meanwhile the menu clearly states basil. So just a heads up to clarify you want basil on your Caprese. Edit: just realized they also added ricotta to the pizza and the menu says nothing about ricotta on this pizza. What a mess.

My experience at Doro Pizza and Pasta was exceptional, starting with the lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome. The penne with vodka sauce and grilled chicken, however, was the real highlight, the most delicious dish I've ever had. I was so impressed, I could happily eat it every day.

When I first walked in, the guy behind the counter was making pizza and made it clear he wasn’t going to stop to help me, which I loved. It’s like the old-school Bronx pizzeria attitude where making the pizza is more important than customer service. But this pizza is the real deal—you can tell everyone loves what they do. When it came time to pay, the guy who was washing dishes in the back came out and took care of it. At the end of the day, they all work like a team to make sure you don’t wait when it’s time to pay. LOL… 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

Just ate here for the first time and loved it! We had the antipasto for 2 with buffalo chix & traditional grandma slices. The help was so pleasant and the atmosphere is cozy. Wished they had more variety in drink choices but the pizza & service is fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Very upset because I ordered a chicken bacon ranch slice in the phone and they said they only had one left so I said I would take it. I took it to go and I look and it’s a plain slice with some chicken dropped on it and a drizzle of little bit of ranch. Chicken bacon ranch couldn’t have red sauce. I love their chicken, bacon, ranch, usually, but this made me very upset
