Donut Friend - DTLA - Dessert, Ice Cream, Coffee & More

This place is amazing. I originally found it because my wife can’t have dairy but was craving things like ice cream and donuts—especially during her pregnancy. When I came across this spot and saw they offered all those treats without dairy, it was a game changer. Needless to say, we make the trip out here from Santa Clarita pretty often. We’re especially excited for the jelly-filled donuts to come back in season—they’re my wife’s absolute favorite. Highly recommend!

Got their seasonal bananaversery donut $3.90 (2025). WAS SO GOOD. It was like fried banana bread, moist with a light crisp exterior. Service was fast and simple. Clean interior.

I wished I lived in LA because I would be visiting this shop a few times a year. There were quite a few options of vegan donuts though I found them to be too sweet. They were also quite expensive though exquisite. I found the glazed donut holes to be both tasty and affordable. I will have to be satisfied with going to Donut Friend on my annual visit to Los Angeles.
