Don Sombrero

This place was a big food highlight on our trip. Everything lived up to our expectations. There are two restaurants nextdoor to one another serving the same food. We were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive to our needs. The food arrived fast and it was some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. The birria tacos are fantastic and the guacamole was the best I've had. The location is also great. Easy recommendation.

Should be a 10 Star. Don Sombrero Tequila & Taco Bar in Miami Beach was an outstanding experience from start to finish. It all began with Tony, the host, who was absolutely marvelous. He made sure we had the exact seat my wife wanted—and even when she changed her mind a couple of times, Tony didn’t bat an eye. His only goal was making sure we were completely satisfied, and it showed. Marco was our waiter, and he was nothing short of amazing. He was professional, friendly, and his hospitality was second to none. His menu recommendations were spot on and truly elevated the entire meal. The food itself was simply remarkable—authentic, flavorful, and hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had during my 10 days in Miami. Every bite was outstanding. We placed multiple orders close to closing time, and the restaurant accepted and confirmed all of them. Because it was near closing, they charged us while the food was still being prepared, before anything was served, and added a 20% service charge upfront. I ordered a steak taco priced at $29, plus the service charge. When it arrived, the meat was completely inedible — full of hard, rock-like fat and sinew. I could not eat it. One birria taco was barely edible; the steak taco was not. I informed the server immediately. He said he would replace it, but what came back was the same meat, only the tortilla was changed and extra sauce was added. I had ordered medium; both versions were equally bad. When I refused to eat it again, the server handed me $20 in cash and said, “You ate one.” Thi

this restaurant has much better service than the one next-door. I originally walked to the one next-door. I sat down, but I got up and was so bad so I came here and I sat down and the service in the vibe was just so much better I was accompanied by Marcos. I ordered the fish tacos. They were absolutely banging. I got some guacamole too, which was also good. Definitely recommend
