Don Polvoron Bakery

We recently moved to California and were stopping nearby, so we decided to check out this place. We visited Costa Rica a few years ago and have been missing fresh baked goods ever since, so we were glad to find them here 🙂 The service can be improved, and as others have mentioned, it could be a little more organized. We tried the gorditas and some pastries, and they were good. It will definitely be our go-to place.

Their bread is really good! Not kept warm, so unless you go early in the morning it won’t feel as fresh. They are very unorganized (maybe because they have new staff?), if you order something aside from the bread, it does take a while to be made. If you’re in a rush, I wouldn’t recommend ordering a plate or something that needs to be prepared. Compared to other bakeries, their pieces of bread are pricey. They are conveniently located where there is nothing around it like it, so it kind of is worth the convenience.

They literally JUST opened. How are you going to start trashing a place when they’re barely getting the hang of it. Livermore needed a place like this and I’m so happy it’s finally opened. I’m Salvadoran and it’s nice to have a place that offers some Salvadoran pan Dulce! I tried the Salvadoran chicken tamale and it was good! Will be trying the pupusas and I’ll update on them!!

My favorite bakery in Livermore! Delicious baked goods, Mexican cuisine, and friendly staff. Absolutely love the enchiladas and shortbread cookies. Don’t be shy if you go of afraid to ask questions, the staff are lovely and so kind. Must try if you’re in town!

This place is such a hidden gem! Everything i have eaten has been so good! From the soft sweet pastries to the savory chorizo torta everything has been tasty!
