Intimate, unique, innovative dining experience not to be missed! We visited for a 7-course pre-fixe menu for Valentine's day, and we were blown away! We loved the small, intimate setting where you can chat with chef Luigi. The wine list was full of Italian wines that were very fairly priced. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Each course had unusual but delicious flavor combinations. When we made the reservations, they asked about allergies or anything that we absolutely would not eat, but other than that, the chef creates the menu from what he finds fresh at the market. We loved being able to support a small business, and we will not hesitate to recommend this to our friends!

What a lovely experience me and my husband had at Don Luigi. We felt taken care of and welcomed. Truly every dish made with passion. The Chef is creative and talented. The service is exceptional. Highly recommend.

We stopped in on a Tuesday & enjoyed a 6 course meal with a wine paring. Each course very tasty. Sat @ bar so able to converse with our chef/owner Don that added to our meal. Quiet & intimate place, just what we like. Recommend it ? Highly !

Don Luigi in Sarasota is an absolute must-try! My experience there was truly incredible. The concept of this new restaurant is to offer guests a completely unique dining experience. They work with curated courses and the most interesting part is that each dish is a surprise. All you have to do is let the chef know about any concerns or allergies, and he’ll craft a personalized lineup of dishes for you (entrée, salad, main course). I personally had never been to a place like this before, and it exceeded every expectation. The food, the presentation, the music, and their selection of wines were all exceptional. I was genuinely impressed with how perfectly they balanced elegance with a warm, family-style vibe. It’s cozy, refined, and definitely a place you’ll want to go back to.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible. We tried the 6-course tasting menu, and every dish was delicious. The chef uses fresh, seasonal ingredients, so the menu changes daily. My personal favorites were the ravioli and the branzino. Both were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality of the food and the overall experience. I think this is one of the best Italian restaurants downtown. Definitely worth a visit!
