Don Lolo's Mexican & Cuban Cuisine

This place is definitely in my top five favorite Caribbean spots! Even though it was my first time here, the food was bursting with flavor. You can tell the chicken was marinated to perfection, over 24 hours for sure, chef’s kiss, A1, hands-down. My boyfriend has eaten here plenty of times, but this was my first. He ordered the Chicharrón de Pollo (Cubes of marinated chicken, quickly fried and served with onions and green peppers along with rice and beens and sweet plantains) and I had the Pechuga de Pollo (Boneless chicken breast, marinated and grilled with onions served with rice and beans and sweet plantains). I was on a journey to eat a decent Cuban sandwich while I was here and I think I managed to accomplish it. Wonderfully crispy bread, not too many pickles, pork and some thin bacon. The croquet was a bit too dark, but the beef empanada was decent. I also tried the pork and pineapple taco, but I would say that it was just average. Overall a great experience and decent service with a warm and lovely host and server. I'm a Canadian and we came with a party of four, and I was a bit surprised we were charged an automatic gratuity of 18%. I could honestly eat anything on the menu and be happy though.

Fun!! We visited on a complete whim Friday evening and we so surprised. The happy hour goes until 8!!! $3 tacos and $6 margaritas. It was so good we ended up ordering a second round of food and drinks. I think I had the best tostones of my life while we were there. I can’t get over it. Highest recommendation.

This place is our go to.... always good food and kind service. We have been coming to Don Lolo's for decades! Great new location same amazing food! Fresh chips and salsa when you arrive and I forgot to take pictures of the food but we will be back again next month so I will update. This is a Cuban and Mexican restaurant. Fresh food made to order and drinks.

Eating at Don Lolo’s is like going back to your abuelita’s kitchen and being served by her. My whole family have been eating here for years, homemade delicious flavors, the meats are seasoned to perfection, black beans are the best I’ve had in a long time in a restaurant. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They moved less than one block from the original location and the new place is modern and has a great vibe. I love Don Lolo’s, go and try it for yourself. Update: I tried the Fajitas today and can honestly say that those are the best Fajitas I have ever been served in a restaurant, hands down.
