Don Churro Restaurant

Don Churro has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, but lately it has been disappointing. The last three times I ordered the New York steak to eat at home, I received a very thin piece of meat good flavor, but definitely not a real New York steak. It looks more like a regular grilled steak. At any restaurant, you expect to get what you pay for, and in this case the dish is not worth the price. I recommend skipping the New York steak, since what they serve is not a special cut and feels more like a basic menu item. I hope they improve the quality and consistency, because I’ve always enjoyed this place.

We visited Don Churro Restaurant to try their empanadas, but unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience. The empanadas were hot on the outside but frozen in the middle. We mentioned it to the staff, and they kindly brought another one — but it had the exact same issue. We also ordered the lomo saltado and the chicken soup. Both were just okay, nothing special. Ceviche was good. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we didn’t end up enjoying our visit. Hopefully they can improve the consistency of their dishes.

Highly recommend this place. Very good and fresh food, owner and personal are awesome people. We celebrate our party and we’re happy with them, thank you so much guys! Definitely visit them!

The menu features must-try items like ceviche, lomo saltado, and empanadas, all enjoyed in a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The casual, colorful interior boasts a large photograph that captures daily life in Latin America covering a wall, complemented by colorful masks and artifacts lining the shelves. We indulged in the Ceviche de Puerto, a delightful combination of fish, octopus, calamari, shrimp, cilantro, aji, and leche de tigre, all enhanced by a zesty, lemony sauce that was simply refreshing. I ordered Arroz con Mariscos and a side of fried yucca. The Arroz con Mariscos was generous and delicious. However, the fried yucca was too dry and hard. I couldn't eat it.
