Another great restaurant in Nyack worth writing about. This is a very nicely decored restaurant first of all, and the backroom particularly is very pretty. The overall vibe is intimate, and on Monday night when we visited, a guitarist/singer performed, but in a background low-key way that is not intrusive to conversations. Service is extraordinary even though there was a near full house and not many staff moving about. Always alert and responsive and very sweet. And the food was divine. We had burata salad and ahi tuna as starters - both were authentic. Tuna came with a bed of seaweed salad that was so fresh. My lamb chops are divine and beautifully presented on a wooden board/tray. The chops were well charred on the outside and favorable and tender within. What a rewarding experience.
Title: A Birthday Brunch to Remember at Dolce Vita! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently celebrated my birthday brunch at Dolce Vita in Nyack, NY, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the owner and staff greeted us with such warmth and hospitality that we instantly felt at home. The ambiance was charming, creating the perfect setting for a special celebration. My wife, knowing my love for lamb chops, chose this gem of a place, and it couldn't have been a more perfect choice. The lamb chops were simply spectacular—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. But the culinary magic didn't stop there. I also indulged in their braised lamb shank, and let me tell you, it was divine. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone effortlessly, bursting with rich, savory flavor
Upon arriving at Dolce Vita, there is an immediate feeling of understated elegance and comfort. This intimate, quiet, and welcoming space is beautifully appointed with gold silverware, starched napkins, and each table adorned with a lamp and greenery. We started with prosecco, the Mediterranean sampler, eggplant ratatouille (a STAR dish!), and the beet salad. Each was fresh, delicious, and well presented. Italian Chianti and a Pinot Grigio accompanied our main courses of Branzino and Sea Bass with perfectly cooked vegetables (carrots, broccoli rabe, and fingerling potatoes) and a side of sautéed spinach. All mouthwatering! Our holiday meal was made complete with coffee, a delicious flan, and a lovely visit with the charming Chef/Owner, Excellent service to boot! We will be back!!!👏
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Dolce Vita this weekend. Everything was really enjoyable. I started with a Boulevardier that was outstanding. They brought out a bread basket which was delicious. Oil with herbs for dipping on the side. We knew right away that this was going to be an above average experience. For an appetizer, we had the clams oreganata, which was fantastic. For mains, my wife got the rigatoni bolognese, and she loved it. It wasn’t just your standard bolognese. It had spicy Italian sausage along with the beef, which gave it extra depth and a little kick. I went with the red wine braised short rib, served with mashed potatoes, and it was outstanding. We finished with tartufo for dessert, which tasted just as good as it looked (see pic). You can see how much car
The food was excellent. We had the popcorn shrimp and Mediterranean starter meal and the shrimp were prepared perfectly. I had the bronzino fish and it tasted so good. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals and the cocktail drinks were also good. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. If you have never been, you should try it. It does get busy around 6-8:30pm, peak time. Our wait for our table wasn’t too bad, and we were thoroughly satisfied and impressed with the service. The chef/owner even came to our table and asked us how our meals were, nice touch! Definitely will revisit this restaurant!
