Dolce Banana Cafe

Inside was clean, and the frozen yogurt machines were down at the time of my visit (must have been for cleaning or servicing). I opted for a mint chocolate chip milkshake. My advice is to order an extra scoop of ice-cream in the milkshakes. They are pretty thin and runny without it. I had mint chocolate chip shake and could barely taste the mint due to the amount of milk added. Quality of the ice-cream seemed average, not bad, but not the best. Fair prices for the area. Do yourself a favor, especially on a hot day, and add an extra scoop of ice-cream to make it thicker. It will melt into flavored milk otherwise!

This is a really cute ice cream shop. Inside it was hot and it was only in the upper 60s outside. I have a medical condition that makes me hot and I couldn't handle it inside. My husband waited in the line for half an hour. They had only 2 people working and the line moved very slowly. I got "Dole Whip" that wasn't actually Dole Whip. It was a super sugary, artificial neon yellow with ice chunks in it. I couldn't finish it and it made me feel gross. It definitely wasn't worth the wait. I don't recommend it.

The ice cream was good. We got vanilla, rocky road, and cookies and cream. We liked all the flavors we got. The 3 stars is for the lack of precautions they’re taking for Covid. They still have self-serve for the frozen yogurt. They don’t have hand sanitizer at all. Also, the chocolate frozen yogurt came out as liquid. Good ice cream but the lack of Covid precautions will stop us from going back.

We usually pop in here while in town- the kids like being able to make their own creations, lots of options. Always very busy and staff is overwhelmed with customers so there really isn’t much service until you get to the front of the line or pay for your item. Will give samples if asked. The espresso milkshake is absolutely my favorite item 😋

Watch out! This place is a total tourist trap! And will rob you blind! First the lines aren’t due to demand. Everywhere in Folly has lines. These however are long because they’re unmanaged, with customers confused about self-serve yogurt right beside ice cream that isn’t self-serve, and a staff that is uninterested and rolls their eyes at questions. Then ridiculous prices by the oz (nobody buys an oz of icecream) that most customers don’t see or assume will add up to something reasonable, then to find out at the register totals to $15-$30! After fumbling around confused for 40 minutes, what do you do? Not pay it and leave with nothing? I sat outside and every single customer that left was grumbling about price.
