Doctor Hot Chicken& Pizza

This is one of my favorite hot chicken places in Philly and likely the best in Fishtown. The prices were reasonable and they had a great variety. Be sure to try their special sauce. Most people get takeout but there are a few seats inside. It’s in a great location so close to other spots, I would recommend stopping here for an affordable and quality meal in Fishtown.

Honestly one of the best hot chicken in Philly if not the best! I had the medium spicy chicken sandwich and it was spicy I can’t imagine the higher spice levels. The fries are seasoned to perfection. The chicken was crispy and tasty. On a previous visit I had the wings and they were really really good! They have an easy yet robust menu I really recommend checking this place out. And thank you for the complimentary cold water on this very hot summer day!

Just went in today for the first time. Staff is friendly, there’s really cool original murals all along the walls. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is great. Everything is seasoned well, and the chicken is flavorful and juicy. I’ll definitely be back.

The foods great, the service needs work. Several times ive ordered and shown up to pick the order up after being notified it was ready only to find the place was closed. They open at noon, today I went to pick up my order and the place was locked up with the open sign lit up. When the guy answered the door he said he takes a break at 1p, they open at noon. They didnt even start the order placed just after 12p. If the order was placed at noon, why at 1 is the guy on break and our food wasn't made. Great food, long wait times and frustrating service at times.
