Doc's Backyard Grill

Doc’s Backyard Grill is a fantastic spot for classic American-style food, great drinks, and an all-around relaxed vibe. The food was solid across the board, and they have a really nice beer selection along with good cocktails. The real standout, though, is the patio and outdoor seating area. It’s spacious, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out—especially if you have kids. The playground is a huge bonus and honestly one of my favorite features. I love a place where kids can play while adults enjoy their food and drinks without stress. Service was great too—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with good food, good beer, and an amazing outdoor setup for families, Doc’s Backyard Grill is a winner.

Came to watch football and let my daughter play and it was a cool experience. I will say the closer you are to watching your child on the playground the harder it is to watch TV but there's a couple spots I'm sure that I wasn't at that you could do both comfortably. The blackened shrimp tacos with slaw was so delicious! I'm a spicy eater so this was perfect. If that's not your jam, it is spicy. As are the black beans. The tender plate for kids are super big, fries and chicken portion! Warm brownie with ice cream was so good! Atmosphere is pretty chill overall. Customer service was great as well. Will return and recommend

Overall pretty good. My wife and cousin both had salads that were huge and reasonably priced. However I’ve seen printer paper thicker than my chicken fried steak. Don’t let that crucial you in the photo. The meat was scarce.

We've driven past here so many times and finally decided to try it and we've already gone back multiple times since! Probably the best happy hour I've seen in Austin and such a great vibe inside and out. Awesome drinks and big variety of food which I love. Breakfast was even better and I'm pretty sure they serve it all day! I mean who doesn't love breakfast at any time of the day. Backyard Minis are A+ 🙌 Plenty of TVs inside and out for all the games.

Try few of their finger foods, all are good. Lot of space both indoor and outdoor. Happy hours offer good value for your money. Service is hit or miss on the day i visited, depends on who is serving your table.
