Dockside NY Deli

We stopped in to Dockside deli Saturday while in town. Every time we come here we leave very satisfied and with to-go boxes because the portions are quite ample. The quality of their food is consistently very high and flavorful and their wine selection is unique and impressive. Take the time to shop their little market area and I'm sure you'll find something new and delicious to take home. Their genuine NY bagels are so fresh! I noticed they are in the process of implementing a new Point of Sale system which should go a long way to speed up service, especially when busy. Dockside is an utterly delicious addition to Urbanna’s small town charm. Their European sandwiches are filling, mouthwatering delights. Best recommendation….Order ahead of time, it is not fast food style, it’s all fresh creations made to order, and very much worth the wait.

I get lunch here from time to time. Every time I get something different and every time it is great. Never disappoints. I really like how they import different food and products and that they are better than American versions, simply because the imported versions are made healthier. The Rueben, Tuna Melt, Hot Pastrami, and the Roast Beef sandwiches are my favorite so far. Still working my way thru the menu. I hope this place is here for a long time.

The Dockside NY Deli is a welcome addition to the Urbanna foodscape. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and the staff is great. I highly recommend the hot pastrami sandwich and some German potato salad. Oh and didn't forget that it is one of only four boat-up restaurants on the lower Rappahannock!

The specialty bakery bread is wonderful, and the Reuben sandwich is way above par. They slice and prepare when you order, it is worth the extra minute to get your food when dining in. Carry out is just as tender and delicious. Ample portions, I usually take 1/2 home!
