Dive Bar and Grille (Savage Mill)

I got the south of the border and zucchini fries. The south of the border was actually pretty good but I asked for the patty to be cooked to a medium but what I got was a medium rare. My friend also got a burger at a medium but it was basically rare. Also if you do get a burger make sure to ask for fries instead of chips because the waiter will not tell you the options. The zucchini fries were soggy and the portion was minuscule compared to the price, I do not recommend at all. The waiter also acted like he did not want to be there and was mumbling so much I could not understand them most of the time.

My wife and I went on a Friday for date night. We were seated fast but the service was slow. Took 25 minutes for them to bring the water and take our drink order. The place was slow that night it was not packed. We had to flag down a waiter. Food was good. Drinks was good.

As much as I like this restaurant, I won't be back anytime soon. I went earlier this evening with a few friends (group of 6). We were seated quickly and our server was great. However, my food was awful. I ordered the chicken tacos. They were dry, overcooked, and lacked flavor. The cheese was shoved at the bottom of the taco and the chicken wasn't even warm enough to melt it. To counter this unappetizing meal, I ordered crab tots to go, which is what I usually order when I dine here. The tots are $17, which is typically fine because you get a large portion, whether you dine in or carry out (I have done both before and received the same portion those two times). Tonight, the to-go order of tots was incredibly disappointing. The crab on top looks burnt and not creamy like it usually does and

This is a BEAUTIFUL space especially on the outside deck. There is live music, a pool table. The service was really good. I did enjoy my food( beef taco) and drink ( mojito). There is a public parking lot . It's a great day night, solo night, family or friends night hangout spot.

Was seated immediately. However, I was no immediately greeted by my server nor was my drink order taken. 2 other tables were sat AFTER me and were greeted & received drinks. I had to ask a different server where mine was and he said he would check. Another 5 minutes and the hostess came & took my drink and food order. I ordered the fried Chico sandwich & tots. Tots were fine. Sandwich not so much. Who serves a thick, fried chicken breast on white bread?? It fell apart the minute I bit into it. Poor bread choose for this type of sandwich. Shame really because the flavors were good. Server never refilled my drink. Didn’t ask if I wanted dessert. Just not a real pleasant experience overall.
