District Pizza

I stopped into District Pizza for a regular cheese slice and it was exactly what a New York slice should be. Quality ingredients, a perfectly crispy undercarriage and that traditional, old-school New York flavor that’s getting harder to find. No gimmicks, just really good pizza. What really stood out was the staff. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming, kind and clearly proud of what they’re serving. I’ve also picked up from them through Too Good To Go and the hospitality was no different than when ordering in person. Even when purchasing pickup through a third-party app, they were generous, friendly and offered to reheat my slice along with freshly grated pecorino without hesitation. Fantastic spot. I'm already giving it 5 stars and I haven't even finished my food. First and foremost, beautiful interior and well taken care of. Also a huge plus, a good amount of seating compared to other pizza places in the area. 3 bar tables and 3 four person dinner tables. As for the pizza, take your pick you won't miss. The pepperoni is every bit of good as other people are saying. I don't know if I was just lucky or if it's the norm, but somehow it's not too greasy and still pretty tender. The margherita is perfect honestly. But that's very dependant on how you like your basil on the pizza. Here it's added after bake, so it's very strong. But they're a lot more generous with the mozzarella than most other places in NYC and the sauce is great. In summary, obviously, a huge recommend

Two slices + soda for $6 Service is amazing for a slice shop. If you dine in they bring it to you on a wooden platter and offer fresh parm. They play great music too. Crispy undercarriage.

Fantastic pizza. They offer to put fresh parm on it at the end, which is a nice touch. Really friendly service and plentiful seating too. Highly highly recommend!
