i am so beyond blown away by the quality and love you can feel in these baked goods. to have an afghan bakery in the neighborhood is an absolutely blessing, and to have one THIS good is a gift. everything here is delicious and feels like a warm hug, i especially love their afghan bread with the scallion cream cheese!

Perfect little bakery and coffee shop with long lines and a small bench for four people to sit. Quaint and cozy! Drinks are good, and pastries are even better. Some pastries contain rose water, so ask before you buy if you have an allergy!

Another excellent addition to Brooklyn Heights. Diljān is an unassuming bakery that punches above its weight. The Sheer Pira was simply delicious and I will definitely be back to try more of their pastries. There is limited seating, a single long bench, so plan to take your pastries and chai to go.

Diljan is a tiny hole in the wall offering pastries unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere in NYC (only their sister cafe Little Flower comes close). The saffron shah was impossibly light and the saffron cream — which was generously portioned inside — was bursting with delicate saffron flavor. I also enjoyed the sheer pira, which was more substantial and had more of a cream cheese moment going on (forgive my ignorance). The Afghan chai (whole milk only), which I got iced, leaned cardamom forward and was just barely sweet enough, and had wonderful depth of flavor. The lamb samosa, which is in the form of something akin to a cinnamon roll and topped with powdered sugar (?), was a miss for me, personally. The lamb was a bit dry, and the seasoning and pastry didn’t speak to me. Unfortunatel

Came on a cold, snowy day after our pilates class, and this place was popping! I was honestly just curious to visit, but ended up so happily surprised by how delicious their pastries were! So glad to have this new addition in the neighborhood 🫶🏼
