Dienner's Country Restaurant

We went to this eatery because my friend had read good reviews for it. We were both sadly very disappointed with the food and the customer service with one of the waitress. The vegetables tasted like they had all been prepared in water with no seasoning to give them any taste. My French green beans were cut too thin and totally tasteless; the whole kernel corn was shuck from the cob, but had no butter to enhance it taste; the outside chicken skin was tasty, but the inside chicken was dry; the beef to go over the rice was a bit chewy. The other dishes that I tried was just as bad. I asked a waitress, that turned out not to be the one for my table where I could get a cup of coffee, she was very rude to me and told me she was not m y waitress in a very rude voice. Houston, we have a problem! Desserts! The choices and the amount of them! Let me back up a bit. This was my first experience at a country restaurant and it was absolutely incredible. Nice place, great staff, good food, well priced. I opted for the buffet and everything was delicious. The reason to opt for the buffet was the desserts. Mmmmhmmmm!

The portions are generous, the flavors are incredible, and the food tastes just like a home-cooked meal from my childhood. From the first whiff when you walk in — that cozy, comforting aroma that instantly reminded me of my grandma’s house — to the last forkful, everything was pure deliciousness. The selection on the buffet is amazing, with classics like tender roast beef, juicy fried chicken, and perfectly seasoned vegetables. The food was great! I had the buffet and my husband had the ham loaf. I highly recommend the buffet and trying a bit of everything. I also highly recommend the shoo fly pie!

Visited on a Saturday noon and was told the wait would be about 40 minutes. They gave us a buzzer so we could walk around the nearby shops or wait in the car. Luckily, we got called in earlier than expected. The place was very busy, but the food was fresh and tasty. Prices were very reasonable and the servers were pleasant.
