Dick's Zesto

What a disappointment. I drove to Fremont just to go to Zesto. I support this type of vintage establishment whenever I can, and was especially drawn to its cool sign outside. However 10 bucks for a mediocre Hot dog was beyond ridiculous. There were no prices on the menu board, but I never dreamed it would be that much. Might’ve been different if it was anything special, but it wasn’t. I want to see them thrive, so I hope they can find a way to turn this around.

The service was amazing everyone was so nice and the ice cream was so so delicious. Every time I come to visit Zesto has always been my favorite place to stop. I love going there so much 😁. I hope when I come back I can go get some more.

Ordered a banana split and it was super disappointing. Instead of three full scoops, we got three half scoops. When I brought it up, I was told “there's a lot of ice cream there,” but it clearly wasn’t. The guy before us had way more on his cone than we had in a whole bowl. Maybe it was just an off day — or maybe it was who we were. It’s a small town, and to be honest, it didn’t really feel like we were welcome. That’s the part that bothered me the most.

Energetic teenagers are ready to serve you numerous frosty ice cream concoctions and fast food items at this dated venue on the corner of two main streets in downtown Fremont. The fast melting ice cream is guaranteed to give you a headache on a hot day if you eat it too quickly!

Zesto used to be a treat every Spring when they opened. The prices used to be higher than fast food, but you got great service, and great quality. Now the prices are much higher, the staff isn't friendly, and the product is inconsistent. I stopped on my way home from a swim meet tonight, and my son ordered before I could look at the menu...a small malt. His friend ordered the same, so I made it three. $20.24...I repeated my order, and he showed me how Huge the "small" was. Sure, I guess...but $6.75 for a small malt is nuts. The ingredients weren't mixed, and there was too much malt (and I LOVE malt). I get that prices are going up, but this place is a hole in the wall with little overhead. I'll just go across the street to Runza next time.
