Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I had been wanting ribs for a while and found myself in the area. It was about an hour before close and I ordered a full rack of ribs to go. They had just enough left for my order. (If your good at it you should run out every day so you don't have wasted product) I found it humorous the counter staff had to ask the manager if they could sell me my full order cause then they wouldn't have any ribs for the last 45 minutes of the day. I almost said just keep them but they were young kids and she was at least polite about it. The ribs were cooked well and good texture and clean bite through. Sauce was good but the ribs themselves were somewhat bland. If you love saucy ribs, your fine. If you want a rib that can stand on their own, its at least a little better that average. Amazing BBQ! I ordered through Uber Eats and scored a great deal, got a 3 meat platter and a sandwich for just $17! Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I had the sliced brisket, seasoned chicken, and pulled pork, and all three were delicious. The sides were just as impressive, mac n cheese, green beans, and mashed potatoes were all tasty and hit the spot. Between the pricing and the quality of the food, I’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!

Some of the best BBQ in Omaha. I ordered ribs and also the brisket sandwich. The ribs were smoked and very meaty. They were top notch and juicy. No dry smoked meat here. They brisket sandwich was tender and full of chunks of meat and some fat which kept it moist and flavorful. The fresh cut fries were delicious and not from frozen fries. The green beans were southern soul food style and very homemade. Highly recommended. The baked beans were pork n beans smoked. The coleslaw was fresh and good. My wife had the mac n cheese and said it was very good. She also said she wanted to reorder the fried okra for it was also fresh. The owners are very friendly and not who you would expect to cooking southern BBQ. But this man truly has pit master skills in cooking BBQ. So when you see them don't let

This is the first time we've been to Dickey's since we moved from Georgia to Omaha. It was just exactly as we remembered it. Dickey's has the best sides of any BBQ place we've ever been. It's hard to go wrong with smoked meats, but there are a thousand ways to mess up the side dishes. They have enough variety to please my husband and me. I go for loaded mashed potatoes and beans and my husband likes fried okra and cole slaw. He's particular about his slaw but he had only compliments for the Dickey's slaw. We can't wait to go back!

If I knew the quality of food I'd get, I would've never ordered. This is a fast food quality barbecue joint. That's all fine and great, but they charge the same prices as actual barbecue places that smoke the meat on site. I ordered the crispy chicken plate for my son. The picture looks like a whole chicken breast battered and fried. What I got was a piece of mechanically separated chicken formed into a tiny patty. I'm beyond disappointed, I'm pissed. Do yourself a favor and get real smoked meat from an actual barbecue place like We'll Smoke You in Gretna. Or anywhere else. This place is garbage. Even the bbq sauce isn't good. I got the Carolina sauce because I'm a fan of vinegar based sauce, and it was no different than their regular sauce.
