Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Love the drive thru! My “one food” lately has been a dickeys pulled pork bbq sandwich with pickles, and fries. YUM! All of their food is delicious. I hope they get/got a regular bartender soon!! 😊

This was my first time visiting this location. I arrived 1 hr before they were due to close. Upon entering the establishment, I told them this was my first time being here. They explained the menu and such. I ordered my food. Upon paying for it, I noticed everything was already pulled out of its original placement. Meaning that they already started to prepare for closing. That should have been my first clue, because when I received my food it was barely room temperature at best. The middle of my mashed potatoes were actually cold. I didnt bother to complain or mention that to them because they already had to have known what they were serving me was not gonna be hot. How to put the sauce manually onto my pulled pork sandwich. Sandwich is OK. Could’ve been bigger for the meal price.

Today was their grand opening. For the first day it went pretty smooth. Service was great, food was delicious and portions were perfect. Lots of room inside for family or small group sit downs. They had an issue with the card system.. Manager told us to sit, relax, eat and they'll get it working.. which they did by the time we left. Norwich needed this.

We waiting for 20 mins behind 2 people for one of the worst meals I've ever had. Almost seemed like a microwaved chicken, sandwich Soda tasted like syrup. Food was bland. Coleslaw had no taste, the pulled pork sandwich was very dull. Mac and cheese was the worst, i've had better at a gas station. If this place is still open in a year I would be really surprised. It was 6pm on Valentine's Day and it was almost empty.
