Spectacular dinner. Very authentic and much more to the menu than just Pho. We ordered the sizzling fish for two, and it was perfect. The very fresh tasting fish and herbs complimented each other very well. Also a fun experience of putting the ingredients together and eating it in your own bowl. The rice cake omelette was also amazing. A little small, but amazing texture.
Really average food with extremely small portion for upscale prices. Realistically the only thing upscale about this place are the prices. 3 pieces of spring roll is a joke and tastes the same as most authentic pho places in the city. Grilled pork was too burnt and bit flavorless. Pho had not much flavor with few slices of overcooked beef. The only thing good / special was papaya salad had a crispy thing on the side. Suggested tip was on top of taxes too.
I visited Di an Di on a Saturday afternoon for lunch after hearing many great recommendations, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was excellent and a great value. We started with the spring rolls, which were fresh and flavorful, then shared the fish for two—truly outstanding. We also ordered the papaya salad, which I highly recommend; it was crunchy and refreshing without the overwhelming spice you often find in Thai versions. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, with plenty of seating and a few high tables. We arrived without a reservation and were seated right away. Overall, it was a wonderful lunch experience, and I’ll definitely be back.
My husband and I were in the area and wanted to try out the restaurant since I was craving for Vietnamese food. The restaurant is nice and warm atmosphere. We ordered Dua colada, red boat special martini, Banh Mi+Pho combo and the Nem Nuong. The drink is not balanced. I don’t know if the bartender even tried before she served it. Dua colada is not good. I couldn’t even drink it. The vietnamese coffee martini tastes weird with the fish sauce. I had drink with fish sauce before but this one doesn’t go well with it. Banh Mi Heo Quay is not heo quay. Everything is just average, nothing is outstanding or special. We even ordered the grilled pork rice to bring home. And the most disappointing thing is the meat is raw. I am pregnant and if I didn’t cut it before I ate, I would swallow the raw mea
After coming back from Vietnam (Hanoi, Da Nang, & Saigon). I feel a type of way about boutique Vietnamese food. Food is good, no doubt about it. But as Vietnamese I have a profound fundamental issue with pho being 20 dollars. Pho is war time peasant food but I digress. Great service, decent atmosphere, but yeah.. if you're viet you know how I feel.
