Detroit Pizza - Battle Ground

Let me start off by saying, the staff here is top notch. I looked at a few other reviews just to be sure it wasn’t just me, but they would quickly find me a regular customer there if I lived nearby. That being said, I’m from Michigan, suburb of Detroit. My experience with Detroit style comes from Jets and Buddy’s. Is that limited? Maybe. In any case, I wasn’t overly reminded of these with the BBQ Chicken pizza I had. But it was very good. Especially that calzone!!! Added pep and sausage. Plenty of creative Detroit inspired options to look forward to… and review video coming soon. Shout out: Cassidy, Amy, Jayla, Andrew, and Aiden for taking great care of me.

Man I wish I could give that 5 star rating. We did a customized pizza. Wife wanted to add red onions, unfortunately we got minimal onion. Spending $3.00 for red onion is silly. She wanted that added, well we got shavings of a onion. Some slices didn't even have them on the pizza. You guys have killer pizza. Just need to pay more attention to quantity of toppings.

I've eaten here a couple of times. While the pizza is usually good, this last one had huge dollop of tomato past all over it, and minimal toppings-- not enough for the price I paid. I feel like I paid 30 dollars for a tomato paste pizza. Very unhappy!

I think my hopes were too high for this place. The pizza reminded me of Little Caesar's pizza. Very doughy. I mean look how much it fluffs up after taking a bite. There is a pizza for everyone out there though. This just wasn't the one for me. That being said, the meatball sub was pretty good and the shaded patio area in the back was nice enough. I would go back for a sandwich and the patio, but I'm hesitant to try the pizza again. Maybe I need to give the Detroit style a chance? This is probably the best pizza in BG, but there aren't many options. I'm not trying to be critical... just honest. The staff were nice and efficient and they honor military there so that is a plus in my book! You'll have to go check it out for yourself to decide if it's for you 👍 Their box says IT'S THAT GOOD
