***READ THE REVIEWS*** I am shocked that this place has such a high rating. We ordered a seafood boil. Hadn't had one in a very long time, so we were really looking forward to it. I explained to the young lady upfront (who was friendly at first), many times what we wanted. First, we waited almost 30 min for the boil, which we didn't mind because it's a lot to cook. Second, because it took so long; we politely asked if we could dine in instead, to which she responded, "no no no" if you stay they will charge you gratuity. That wasn't my concern or question. I did not get upset until I looked in the bag and noticed the sauce wasn't sauce at all, it was water! as if nothing was drained prior to adding it to the bag. no butter, barely any seasoning! Detroit Crab House absolutely blew me away! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively, and the staff made us feel right at home. The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned — the crab legs were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The house sauce was next-level and tied everything together perfectly. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the service was fast and attentive. If you’re craving quality seafood with bold flavor and great vibes, Detroit Crab House is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

When we first pulled into the parking lot on a Saturday evening we were a little hesitant to go in since it looked empty. The place was open but there were hardly any customers. We decided to give this place a try and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great! We ordered egg drop soup, shrimp dumpling, lobster and shrimp fried rice, hibachi noodles and crab cakes and we loved it all! We will definitely come back for more to try the seafood boil next time! Per my little one this is her new favorite place now! 🫶👌

10/10 - Considering that this is nowhere near the ocean, the seafood was so good! Now, don’t think they lack good fried food as well. Some people on the reviews didn’t care for the calamari, but the texture was very rich and the skin was flavorful. Honestly the best French fries I’ve ever had

Love coming here. They are very nice and food is very good. I love how they have boil in a bowl instead of bag.
