I wanted some good lamb and rice and boy did they meet me where I needed to be!!! I got the lamb vindaloo to go and ate it when I went home. The dish was very well seasoned and a nice amount along with the price and kindness of the man I recommend giving this place a shot.

Great food! After two days of eating festival food at Roots Picnic, my friends and I were looking for a place we could eat a sit-down meal, in a place that would still be open after leaving the festival on Sunday. A quick Google search led us to Desi Village and as soon as we walked in and inhaled the smells wafting from the kitchen, we knew we made the right choice. It was after 11pm when we came to eat, but the food was fresh and flavorful. We ordered 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and some garlic naan and aloo parantha. All entrees were tender and delicious. Palak paneer, Saag Lamb, Shahan Chicken Korma, and another chicken dish. Medium spice was plenty hot enough. Given the lateness of the hour, there was just one person running the restaurant, but he was kind and got our food out quickly.

Love this spot, been coming forever but I no longer live in town. Feels like the only place around that hasn't raised prices dramatically since I've been gone, and the folks who work here are super nice.

Restaurants who otherwise cook animals will advertise via Grubhub that they’re serving from a vegan kitchen. It’s slightly misleading & Desi Village does this via “Vegan Bowl Factory” on the app. My partner & I are firm believers in the karmic/pranic effects of animal products being prepared in the same kitchen as pure veg meals & otherwise wouldn’t have ordered. Nonetheless, we wound up with a Chana Masala & an Aloo Gobhi style dish that were satisfying & the delivery was quick. I dislike leaving anything but good reviews for good meals, but falsely advertising for vegans is a no-no!

Omg, This place blew my mind, the “lamb sheek kabab” tasted like back home, The flavors and the tender of the meat is so juicy, and neat. The biryani is not to the notch but don’t get out without eating non-veg curries with garlic naan 🙌. Thanks for the wonderful experience. I would love to come back. If I am around the city. They close at 9:30.
