I opened escrow on an intended purchase of a property and the seller wanted to use Deschutes County Title, Redmond OR. Being an out of state purchaser I did not have a preference. We made our Escrow opening Earnest Money Payment on July 11, 2024. We completed our home inspection and discovered issue with the property, so the Escrow fell through resulting in a refund of the Earnest Money on July 16, 2024. September 3, 2024 I realized I had yet to receive, the refund check, I called and spoke with the Redmond office. They assured me that they would overnight it to me. I asked the follow up question. Why did it require me making another phone call and why did they hold on to the refund for 50 additional days? I was told by the asst. escrow officer, she couldn't answer that question bu
