Decent quick type of food like hamburger, hot dog, nachos, packaged foods like chips, drinks and ice cream. Friendly and fairly quick turnaround time. Nothing fancy, but definitely good for a quick bite.

We have rented kayaks twice from the Des Moines snack shack! Both times we had so much fun! I highly recommend going by and checking them out, with awesome people there and great prices why wouldn’t you want to stop by on a hot day?! They have great snacks for when your out by the water and also all the necessary things you’ll need to spend a day out on the water!! 💧

Great customer service & tons of awesome food choices for kids as well as adults. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards! There's something to do for the whole family here. I love going on hot days & cooling off with a kayak in the ocean. Tons of fun!!! I highly recommend this place. Family owned & they really care about their customers. 5 stars all around ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😁

Out of the last few weeks on and off I've been camping at the park I've only seen them open once even though the hours state they are supposed to be open. Not sure what's going on but if the hours are not correct I'm sure I'm not the only one that would appreciate if they were fixed by the owner. Follow up, So in the 45 min since this was posted the hours have been updated. I appreciate your response but the hours previously listed on google matched the photo of the red hours display uploaded by Eric A.

We rented two two-person kayaks today, for my wife and I and our three youngest kids, and we left wondering why we hadn't done this before. Helpful staff and a super simple, straightforward rental process made for nice bookends to our time on the water. We'll definitely be back.
