Customer Reviews
I love this place. I lived here for years and had zero clue it was here. Really cool experience to come to for the first time. It’s a down home simple country store. What’s on the menu is what you get. Good homemade food. The best part about coming here is the people who work here. Everyone is incredibly sweet. Speaking of sweet, the egg salad and potato salad are on the sweet side (guessing sweet relish?) which took my by surprise. I’m not usually into sweet salads, but I found this to be really tasty. If you’re looking for a cool dining experience and don’t mind waiting in line for a table, come check this place out!
Delicous, home-cooked meals at a low price. Great southern hospitality. Place makes me feel like im back at my mom's dinner table.
We came here because of all the great Google reviews and some local recommendations. We arrived at 11am midweek and there was a pretty long line already. Good sign, I thought. Not a long wait on the food. Lots of places to sit. I ordered a thick fried bologna sandwich with white beans and corn bread. (In the end, the sandwich was very large, but still just a sandwich. The beans could have really used some ham and seasoning... These weren't my grandma's southern beans! The corn bread was alright, but nothing even close to Cracker Barrel's corn bread.) The sweet tea really was great, lots of big chunks of cut lemon. I just couldn't get past the fact that the girl making sandwiches and salads had this long hair, and allot of it, hanging down all around her shoulders/arms, not pulled back, h
I went today with my sister. Super friendly from cashier taking order to the lady who delivered my water to the the cashier "hassling me" because I sat in front of the cooler. Great food in an historic, old country store setting. We loved it. I had the chicken quesadilla plate and my sister had the thick-cut bologna sandwich.
Food was good. The huge pancake could have been better cooked. Service was nice. The old building was great atmosphere.
